Impax To Buy Wind Projects From Finnish Utility

Law360, New York (September 5, 2013, 7:33 PM EDT) -- London-based asset management and private equity firm Impax Asset Management agreed Thursday to buy two wind power projects in northern Finland from utility firm Fortum Keilaniemi and Finnish forest administrator Metsähallitus.

Fortum and Metsähallitus, which each own roughly half of the two projects, agreed to sell them for an undisclosed price, according to statements by the firms. The projects being sold are the Kuolavaara-Keulakkopää and Joukhaisselkä, which are in a pre-construction stage and located in Lapland, Finland’s northernmost region.
