Alice Corp. Asks High Court To Weigh Software Patent Ruling

Law360, New York (September 5, 2013, 7:06 PM EDT) -- In an appeal that may ultimately lead to a new standard for determining if software is patent-eligible, Alice Corp. on Wednesday requested that the U.S. Supreme Court address whether its computerized platform for reducing risk in financial trading is patentable.
