Several Iranian Cos. Beat EU Sanctions In Court

Law360, New York (September 6, 2013, 4:58 PM EDT) -- A European Union court on Friday threw out economic sanctions imposed against seven Iranian companies, finding for at least some of the companies that the EU had not properly shown that their actions supported Iran's nuclear weapons program.

The EU General Court annulled sanctions leveled against the seven Iranian companies and one individual. The sanctions had been imposed by the European Council, an executive body composed of heads of government from the EU member countries that has authority to freeze the funds of businesses and individuals...
