Foley & Lardner Asks 11th Circ. To Toss Malpractice Suit

Law360, Miami (September 9, 2013, 8:47 PM EDT) -- Foley & Lardner LLP on Friday asked the Eleventh Circuit to affirm the dismissal of fuel wholesaler Gowen Oil Co.'s malpractice suit over an allegedly botched fuel sale deal, arguing the claims are barred by a four-year statute of limitations.

The law firm said a Georgia federal court correctly determined that the four-year statute of limitations applies because a written contract between the firm and Gowen does not exist.
