UCB Beats Apotex's IP Suit Over Drugmaking Process

Law360, Los Angeles (September 9, 2013, 4:34 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge ruled Friday in favor of drugmaker UCB Inc. and against Canadian company Apotex Inc., which had accused UCB of copying a patented manufacturing process for a blood pressure medication, finding that the patent should never have been issued.
