Ex-Adjuster's New Venture Violated Employment Deal: Suit

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Citizens Public Adjusters Inc. accused a former employee of violating his employment contract by teaming up with two other individuals to start their own remediation and claims adjustment business, according to a complaint filed in Pennsylvania state court Friday.

The complaint alleges former Citizens employee Kirk Hewitt improperly and unfairly competed with the company by founding A Plus Public Adjusters LLC, disparaging Citizens in front of customers and luring employees away from Citizens.
