Agilent Probes China Misconduct, Possible FCPA Violations

Law360, New York (September 10, 2013, 1:20 PM EDT) -- Agilent Technologies Inc. disclosed that some employees of its Chinese subsidiaries haven't complied with company business standards and it is investigating whether they violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. 

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based life sciences and electronics company said it is probing certain sales of its products through third-party intermediaries in China, and last week informed the U.S. Department of Justice and the SEC of its internal investigation.
