Multiven Targets Cisco With New EU Antitrust Complaint

Law360, New York (September 9, 2013, 7:01 PM EDT) -- Multiven GmbH said Monday it had renewed its efforts to convince the European Commission to investigate Cisco Systems Inc. for allegedly abusing its dominance by bundling software updates with its maintenance services, lodging a new complaint with the antitrust watchdog.

Zurich-based Multiven, which provides maintenance services that compete with Cisco's SmartNet technical support service, said it had filed a formal complaint with the European Union antitrust watchdog on Aug. 20.
