Neb. AG Defends Bar On 'Patent Troll' Firm In Court

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Nebraska's attorney general asked a federal court Tuesday to throw out a suit claiming that he violated the constitutional rights of the law firm Farney Daniels PC when he ordered it to stop filing patent suits while the state investigates the firm's representation of so-called patent trolls.

The suit was filed by Activision TV Inc., a company that wants to hire Farney Daniels to represent it in a patent case, and Attorney General Jon Bruning said that the company lacks standing to challenge the cease-and-desist letter...
