Travelers Again Told To Surrender Docs In Heparin Suit

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 2:40 PM EDT) -- A Maryland federal judge has again ordered Travelers Property Casualty Co. of America to give up claims handling documents to private equity firm American Capital Ltd. in a coverage dispute over tainted heparin claims, a document unsealed Monday showed.

The third time was not the charm for Travelers, which put up a vigorous fight against turning over nearly 600 documents that it argued were protected by the attorney-client privilege and the work product doctrine. A magistrate judge and U.S. District Judge Deborah Chasanow have twice before...
