China, S. Korea Agree On Scope Of Free Trade Pact

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 6:24 PM EDT) -- China said Tuesday that it has wrapped up the first stage of talks on a free trade pact with South Korea, saying both countries have reached an agreement on the scope of the proposed deal.

China's Ministry of Commerce, or MOFCOM, said the parties "reached consensus" on what goods would be covered by the agreement and the general framework of the deal. The agreement was reached following three days of talks in China's Shandong province, the agency said.
