Fed. Circ. Gives Fuzzy Slipper Patent Suit 2nd Life

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 3:05 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday revived an apparel manufacturer's suit accusing a rival and major retailers like Wal-Mart Stores Inc. of ripping off its idea for insulated slippers, ruling that the lower court must be more thorough in weighing the obviousness of the patent-in-suit.
