Pa. PUC To Investigate Retail Natural Gas Market

Law360, Philadelphia (September 12, 2013, 5:29 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission on Thursday unanimously agreed to launch an investigation into the state's retail natural gas market, aiming to boost the number of customers purchasing gas from competitive suppliers.

While 2 million customers currently participate in the state's retail electricity market, the commission expressed concern that the benefits of competition are not being realized in the natural gas market.
