$100M Buyout Eyed To Revive SCO Group

Law360, New York (February 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Unix licenser SCO Group, which was driven into bankruptcy from litigating its copyright infringement suits against IBM Corp. and Novell Inc., may get a $100 million infusion from a Middle Eastern source to continue its intellectual property battles.

Stephen Norris & Co. Capital Partners said Thursday that it and an unnamed Middle Eastern partner would buy out the company to bring it out of bankruptcy, let it see its lawsuits through to the end and turn it private.
