Mass. Supremes Back $21M Toys R Us Slide Death Verdict

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The highest court in Massachusetts on Friday upheld a $20.6 million verdict against Toys R Us Inc. after a 28-year-old woman died using a Chinese pool slide that didn’t meet federal import requirements, saying the jury’s $18 million punitive damages award did not defy due process.
