Stroock Signs Former SEC Official to Growing DC Office

Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 3:29 PM EDT) -- Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP on Monday announced the hiring of a former chief at the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission to the firm’s private funds practice group to help expand the law firm’s influence in Washington, D.C.

Tram Nguyen, who was the chief of the SEC private funds branch, will represent sponsors, distributors and investors for all types of private funds. At Stroock’s practice group, she will follow the firm’s emphasis on specialty funds such as commodity, distressed debt and real estate funds.
