USPTO Gets 2nd Biz Method Review Bid By Major Bank

Law360, New York (September 17, 2013, 6:19 PM EDT) -- Becoming the second major bank to petition the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office under the America Invents Act's business method review program, North Carolina-based Branch Banking and Trust Co. on Monday asked the agency to invalidate a Maxim Integrated Products Inc. integrated circuit patent being used to target its mobile banking services.
