Fla. Business Leaders Push For Medicaid Expansion

Law360, Miami (September 17, 2013, 5:53 PM EDT) -- A group of business and health care leaders in Florida on Tuesday called on the state legislature to take the $51 billion being offered by the federal government for Medicaid expansion, saying the move would help create jobs and help the state remain competitive.

The League of Women Voters of Florida and the CEOs of Tampa General Hospital and the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce said that accepting the federal money would allow businesses of all sizes in the state compete with others elsewhere. They estimated...
