Creditors Blast Anglo Irish Bank's Bid For Emergency Stay

Law360, Wilmington (September 18, 2013, 6:06 PM EDT) -- U.S. creditors of Irish Bank Resolution Corp. Ltd., formerly known as Anglo Irish Bank, urged a Delaware bankruptcy judge Wednesday to deny an emergency bid to invoke the court's automatic stay, saying the bank lacks any justification for the expedited timetable.

Already in liquidation in its home country, Dublin-based IBRC filed motions Tuesday asking the court postpone consideration of its Chapter 15 petition and instead use Friday's scheduled hearing to grant the bank provisional relief, a move creditors claim would deprive them of their rights....
