Pittsburgh Teacher Says School Fired Her Over Race

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 8:50 PM EDT) -- A teacher on Wednesday accused Pittsburgh Public Schools of discriminating against her based on race, creating a hostile work environment and retaliating against her for complaining about the discrimination, in a complaint filed in Pennsylvania federal court.

In a suit filed in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Katie LaCava alleges that the school system subjected her to disparate treatment because of her race and retaliated against her for speaking up against her supervisors.
