Ex-K&L Gates Partner Can't Get Out Of Arbitration

Law360, New York (September 19, 2013, 7:19 PM EDT) -- A District of Columbia appeals court said Thursday that a former K&L Gates LLP partner who accused the firm of age bias cannot pursue his claims in court, affirming a ruling that an arbitration clause in a supplement to the firm's partnership agreement was enforceable. 

An appellate panel shot down Robert Parker's challenge to a trial court's order that the parties arbitrate their dispute in the nation's capital, agreeing that both arbitration and forum selection clauses in an agreement signed by Parker were valid and enforceable....
