Minn. High Court To Review Covington DQ In 3M Row

Law360, New York (September 20, 2013, 2:39 PM EDT) -- The Minnesota Supreme Court has agreed to review a state court’s decision to disqualify Covington & Burling LLP from representing the state of Minnesota in an environmental lawsuit against 3M Co. over conflict of interest concerns, according to an order made available Thursday.

The state high court will examine a three-judge appellate panel's July ruling finding that Covington's past work with 3M barred it from representing the state of Minnesota in litigation accusing the company of dumping chemicals into surface and groundwaters.
