Abengoa To Build $165M Uruguay Wind Farm

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Abengoa SA will build a $165 million, 70-megawatt wind farm in Uruguay that will supply renewable energy to about 100,000 people, the company announced Monday.

The Spanish tech firm will contribute $6 million in equity to the project and expects to reap $500 million in revenues over a 20-year period by selling output to the Uruguayan state electricity company. Abengoa will develop, engineer, build and maintain the plant on its own, it said.
