GE, Algeria Announce Nearly $3B In New Power Contracts

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 4:52 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co. has signed three contracts worth nearly $3 billion with an affiliate of Algeria’s national electricity and gas company Sonelgaz, in a move that will increase the North African country’s generating capacity by 70 percent, GE said Monday.

The company said its three deals with SPE, totaling about $2.7 billion, represent some of the largest in its history.
