HTC Smartphones Infringe Nokia Patents, ITC Judge Rules

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 6:58 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge ruled Monday that several models of HTC Corp.'s smartphones infringe two patents held by Nokia Corp., setting the stage for a possible ban on imports of some HTC products.

The decision by Administrative Law Judge Thomas Pender, which is subject to review by the full ITC, involve two wireless patents that Nokia alleged in a complaint filed in May 2012 are infringed by HTC smartphone models including the Amaze, Inspire and Sensation.
