Attys For Ex-Agriprocessors CEO Bashed Over Juror Contact

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 4:21 PM EDT) -- An Iowa federal judge on Monday reportedly admonished two attorneys representing Sholom Rubashkin, the imprisoned former Agriprocessors Inc. CEO convicted of bank fraud in the aftermath of a sweeping immigration raid, ruling they improperly contacted jurors from his original trial.

U.S. District Judge Linda Reade found that James R. Wyrsch of Wyrsch Hobbs & Mirakian PC and Guy R. Cook of Grefe & Sidney PLC violated a court rule preventing lawyers or their investigators from contacting jurors without court permission, according to the Associated Press....
