Mo. Utility Plans State's Biggest Solar Farm

Law360, New York (September 23, 2013, 7:39 PM EDT) -- The community-owned utility company serving Springfield, Mo., will develop its first 4.95-megawatt solar farm, the state's largest, in partnership with two solar companies, the company announced Monday.

Solexus Development will develop the facility and Strata Solar will own, build and operate it, selling electricity to community-owned City Utilities once it comes online. The project is slated to go up by the second quarter of 2014 and will power about 875 homes in the Springfield area over the next 25 years, according to the utility.
