China Still Missing Mark On WTO Promises, USTR Hears

Law360, New York (September 24, 2013, 7:01 PM EDT) -- China continues to fall short on its international trade obligations to protect intellectual property, treat imports the same as Chinese-made goods and to stop providing unfair export subsidies, several business groups, a union and other groups told the U.S. Trade Representative's office Friday.

Responding to a USTR request, the groups — which include the U.S. Council for International Business, the United Steel Workers union and others — raised concerns about China's progress toward meeting its World Trade Organization commitments. At least 15 sets of written comments...
