Scotiabank analyst Gus Papageorgiou estimated the worth of BlackBerry patents at $4.26 per share (The Globe and Mail, Aug. 14, 2013), which would amount to more than $2 billion, half of the famous $4.5 billion Nortel patent portfolio sale.
