Law360, New York (September 25, 2013, 1:55 PM EDT) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday approved a $10 million settlement of a proposed class action alleging the merger between human resources services firm Towers Perrin Forster & Crosby Inc. and Watson Wyatt Worldwide Inc. cost its retired principals millions.

U.S. District Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg granted preliminary approval to the deal, ending claims that Towers Perrin's merger with Watson Wyatt, which created professional services firm Towers Watson, breached company communications that promised Towers Perrin would remain private and compelled retiring principals to sell their shares...
