WTO Body Affirms US Win In China Chicken Duty Dispute

Law360, New York (September 25, 2013, 6:56 PM EDT) -- The World Trade Organization on Wednesday formally adopted findings that China broke with its international trade obligations when it imposed anti-dumping and countervailing duties on U.S. chicken products, according to the U.S. Trade Representative.

At a meeting Wednesday, the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body adopted a dispute panel report that found China's duties on products from so-called broilers — chickens bred and grown specifically for meat — were inconsistent with various international agreements.
