Conn. Lawmakers Again Snub Proposed Wind Turbine Rules

Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 1:23 PM EDT) -- Connecticut lawmakers on Tuesday again rejected proposed regulations regarding large-scale wind projects, thus extending the state's moratorium on new wind turbines and potentially jeopardizing the state's ability to take advantage of federal funding.

Members of the legislative Regulation Review Committee voted 10-3 to reject proposed regulations concerning the height, setbacks, noise, environmental impact of wind turbines, which must be in place before the state will issue any permits allowing the construction of wind projects.
