Mid Europa Acquires Stake In Polish Ski-Lift Operator

Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 7:41 PM EDT) -- European private equity firm Mid Europa has acquired a majority stake in a Polish ski-lift operator from two leading Polish financial institutions, as it works to consolidate the mountain tourism market in Poland, the firm announced Thursday.

Mid Europa acquired the Kolej Gondolowa Jaworzyna Krynicka ski-lift operator, located in Krynica in the southeastern part of Lesser Poland, from PKO BP, the country’s largest bank, and PZU, a leading insurance group and one of the largest financial institutions in the nation.
