EU Patent Court To Rein In Trolls, Despite Fears Of Abuse

Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 8:52 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. and other tech giants told the European Union on Thursday that the region's new Unified Patent Court may become a haven for so-called patent trolls, but intellectual property attorneys downplayed the fears, telling Law360 that the new court should have safeguards to prevent abuse by nonpracticing entities.
