MoFo Adds CFTC Veteran To Energy, Financial Practices

Law360, New York (September 27, 2013, 3:24 PM EDT) -- Morrison & Foerster LLP has nabbed a special counsel from Covington & Burling LLP who previously spent over a decade as the assistant general counsel at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the firm announced Thursday.

Julian Hammar joined the firm's energy and financial service regulatory practices as of counsel in Washington, D.C., bringing with him extensive knowledge about Dodd-Frank Act compliance and the Commodity Exchange Act. His practice focuses on futures, derivatives and commodities, energy regulatory compliance and enforcement, corporate and securities matters.
