Convicted Pump-And-Dump Broker Appeals To High Court

Law360, New York (September 27, 2013, 8:08 PM EDT) -- A former stockbroker convicted of participating in a massive pump-and-dump stock manipulation scheme has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear his appeal, arguing that the government unlawfully held his house and prevented him from being represented by an experienced securities attorney.

Richard Clark, who was convicted in May 2010 of defrauding investors by manipulating penny stocks, filed a petition for writ of certiorari on Sept. 16.
