Fla. Lets FPL Bill Customers $43M For Nuke Plant Projects

Law360, Miami (October 1, 2013, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Florida's utility regulator on Tuesday approved Florida Power & Light Co.'s request to recover $43.4 million from customers to improve two existing nuclear units and build two new ones at its Turkey Point power plant south of Miami.

Florida's Public Service Commission adopted a staff report recommending approval of FPL's bid to raise the money for construction investments in two new planned Turkey Point units and to add generation capacity to existing units at Turkey Point and its St. Lucie plant.
