Legal Pricing Pros Gather For Inaugural Conference

Law360, Chicago (October 1, 2013, 10:22 PM EDT) -- Chicago played host Tuesday to an inaugural gathering of legal pricing specialists, a relatively new niche within law firms that is expanding rapidly as client demands to rein in legal costs grow louder.

Dubbed “P3” — for pricing, practice innovation and project management — the conference brought together more than 200 attendees from across the U.S. and from as far away as Australia. Many fill the pricing specialist’s hybrid role of fee analyst, client negotiator and project watchdog for major law firms, though consultants and members of corporate legal departments were also on hand.
