Congress Should Have More Input On TPP, House Dems Say

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 7:00 PM EDT) -- Reps. Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., and Jim McDermott, D-Wash., on Thursday said the Obama administration should pull back the lid on negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership and allow more input from Congress and others with a stake in the outcome of the proposed trade agreement.

The lawmakers said additional steps should be taken by the U.S. trade representative's office, which is leading the negotiations for the U.S. in the proposed TPP, to consult with Congress. The lawmakers' comments came during a conference call moderated by Lori Wallach...
