TransCanada Acquires 2 Ontario Solar Plants

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 4:36 PM EDT) -- TransCanada Corp. has acquired a second and third solar power plant in Ontario from Canadian Solar Inc. as part of a $470 million deal between the parties in 2011, TransCanada announced Wednesday.

The Canadian energy company will take control of the Brockville 2 and Burritts Rapids projects from Canadian Solar. TransCanada had previously acquired the Brockville 1 plant from the Canada-based global solar power operator.
