SEC Website To Pull Back Curtain On High-Speed Trading

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 5:12 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will soon launch a public website offering the kind of detailed stock market transaction data that has previously been exploited by high-speed traders, agency chairman Mary Jo White said Wednesday.

The SEC plans to launch the site as early as next week as part of a broad review of the health of U.S. exchanges, White said in prepared remarks before the Security Traders Association in Washington. The SEC has been collecting reams of data on equity markets in recent years,...
