Polish Power Cos. To Spend $181M On Gas Plant Upgrade

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 2:03 PM EDT) -- PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA, Poland's top power producer, has formed a venture with local gas giant PGNiG SA to spend 562 million zlotys ($182.2 million) to expand a PGE power plant supplied by gas from a blockbuster $970 million power purchase agreement, the companies said Thursday.

The Polish power producers agreed to build a combined cycled gas turbine unit at PGE's Gorzow CHP plant in the western part of the country. The turbine unit will have a maximum generating capacity of 138 megawatts and supply...
