EU To Examine Potential Crowd Funding Rules

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 6:38 PM EDT) -- The European Commission on Thursday said it was considering whether it should set up a new regulatory regime for crowd funding, an Internet-based form of alternative financing for startup businesses.

As part of a public consultation, the EC seeks input from businesses and the public to determine whether a single regulatory regime for crowd funding was necessary and what that regime would entail.
