EC Probe Preceded Intel Response To Pending Case

Law360, New York (February 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Commission's recent investigation into Intel Corp.'s suspected restrictive business practices kicked off before the leading chipmaker had a chance to fully answer existing antitrust charges, according to the company.

“We have not had a chance to respond to the first allegations yet,” Craig Barrett, head of Intel's board, told Reuters on Thursday at the European Business Summit.
