Atty Gets 3 Years For Helping Rothstein's Wife Hide Jewelry

Law360, Miami (October 7, 2013, 3:32 PM EDT) -- The Florida attorney who allegedly helped the wife of convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein hide more than $1 million in jewelry from investigators was sentenced Monday to three years in prison.

U.S. District Judge Robin S. Rosenbaum sentenced Scott Saidel, who pled guilty to helping Kimberly Rothstein hide the jewelry that had been purchased with proceeds from her husband's $1.2 billion scheme, to 36 months in prison and two years of probation.

The sentence was below the guidelines that called for between 46 and 57 months...
