ShopRite Owners Accused Of Bad Faith In Lease Negotiations

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 6:26 PM EDT) -- A developer filed suit in Pennsylvania state court on Monday accusing the operators of several ShopRite grocery stores of engaging in bad faith negotiations for a potential lease in a $100 million northeast Philadelphia shopping center that’s currently under construction.

Arsenal Inc. accused the operators of secretly engaging in negotiations for a lease at a different shopping center nearby and says they only engaged the developer as a means of preventing another grocery store from leasing space at its shopping center.
