Ex-Eli Lilly Scientists Stole $55M In Secrets, Feds Say

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 1:15 PM EDT) -- Two former Eli Lilly and Co. scientists on Tuesday reportedly appeared in Indiana federal court on charges that they leaked over $55 million worth of trade secrets to a rival Chinese drug company.

Prosecutors say Guoqing Cao and Shuyu Li, both of the Indianapolis area, passed on nine trade secrets having to do with cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes drugs over a two-year period to Shanghai-based Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co., according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.
