Bankrupt IPC's $25.4M Sale To Universal Protection Approved

Law360, Wilmington (October 9, 2013, 7:22 PM EDT) --  A Delaware bankruptcy gave the green light Wednesday to the $25.4 million sale of mall security firm IPC International Corp. to stalking horse bidder Universal Protection Service LLC after a competitive auction that saw the initial bid grow by nearly 20 percent.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Mary F. Walrath gave the sale the OK after hearing about a lengthy bidding process between industry rivals Universal Protection and Allied Security Holdings LLC that culminated in the debtor deeming Universal's bid best after an auction that ended late Tuesday...
