Longview Power Postpones Ch. 11 Fight With Contractors

Law360, Wilmington (October 9, 2013, 10:18 PM EDT) -- A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Wednesday granted Longview Power LLC's request for a four-week adjournment of its final cash-collateral hearing, a move that also pushes back motions by contractors embroiled in a long-running dispute over the debtor's troubled $2 billion coal plant.

At a telephonic hearing, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Brendan L. Shannon reluctantly agreed to delay consideration of the cash-collateral motion to Nov. 21, as well as contractors' motions seeking to enjoin Longview from drawing on disputed letters of credit and lift the automatic stay so...
