Stonepeak Closes On $1.65B For Infrastructure Fund

Law360, New York (October 9, 2013, 4:40 PM EDT) -- New York private equity firm Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners, run by former Blackstone Group LP executives, has closed its first fund with $1.65 billion in assets and will commit capital to North American middle market infrastructure investments, Stonepeak said Wednesday.

The firm had initially targeted $1 billion for the Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund I, which was significantly over-subscribed and reached its hard cap. Stonepeak plans to focus on the energy, power, transportation, water and utilities sectors in North America.
